Substitute Classroom Teacher

District prefers Substitutes with an Associate Degree or equivalent college course work 

 

Background check and Fingerprints required

 

Online Substitute Training Course will be provided and required

 

Primary Purpose

Substitute for absent teacher or other employee and perform the duties of the absent employee.  Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the academic subject areas assigned and assist students to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.

 

Special Knowledge/Skills

            Desire to work with students of all ages, social, and ethnic backgrounds

            General knowledge of academic subjects, curriculum, and instruction

            Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior

            Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

            21 years or older

25-26 School Year is a 4 Day Week, Monday-Thursday
